Our clients and their stories are at the core of each bespoke piece we make.
One of our favourite stories needed to be executed in true Sherlock Holmes fashion as both Amy and Emily came to us for each others engagement rings in secret! A tricky one for us to juggle but thanks to Karl Karter's acting skills we pulled it off!
They recently tied the knot in true Vegas style. Here's Amy & Emily's story...
Emily, who lives in Atlanta, USA, and Amy have a mutual friend (aka the matchmaker) who was particularly keen on setting them up with each other. Their initial encounter during Amys first trip to Atlanta was Emily hollering at her from across the street, which pretty much set the tone for the rest of their relationship! Before they knew it, Amy had booked another ticket to come back to Atlanta and the intercontinental flights carried on with Emily finally moving to London in September 2015.
In 2016 Amy decided it was time to take their relationship to the next level and get engaged. She met Karl at a wedding show and fell in love with a watermelon tourmaline stone and decided to explore creating a bespoke ring rather than something generic off the shelf.
"I knew I wanted something different and the watermelon tourmaline had caught my eye at the wedding fair."
After a number of design consultations and stone viewings, Amy and Karl designed Emilys ring with a gorgeous Blue Sapphire and Diamond shoulders, set in 18ct Yellow Gold. She proposed in their living room decorated with flowers and candles.
During this time, Amy had mentioned to Emily about the stone that had caught her eye at the show and Emily then contacted us to make Amys ring!
"I loved meeting with Karl. Since he’d met my wife previously, and knew all about us, and we chatted like pals. He was so helpful and worked with my strict budget. There was never any pressure to spend more and in fact, he more than accommodated. I must admit, I was extremely nervous. Having been given my ring before designing my wife’s, I wasn't sure I could give her anything that would compare. That totally changed up on meeting with Karl"
They were married in a villa at the Palms in Las Vegas.
