Danny and Nareen

Danny came to us to create a unique oval three stone engagement ring for his partner Nareen. Not only did he work alongside our designers to design a beautiful ring but the proposal story incorporating a trip to Iceland was all pretty spectacular! 

The ring includes three horizontally set oval diamonds, the two side stones are set in a rub-over style with the centre stone in a four claw talon setting. The shoulders are then thread and grain set with white diamonds all encompassed by an 18 carat yellow gold handmade mount. Of course she said yes! 

Danny and I have been together for 5 years and in February he took me on a complete surprise trip to Iceland! He had been planning a big proposal for the last 6 months, including sneaking off to Hatton Garden to custom design my beautiful ring. We arrived in Iceland and were greeted by a gentleman who picked us up and transported us 2 and half hours to a beautiful house situated in the middle of nowhere, which is where we would stay for the next few days. At this point I had no idea what was going on and what was in store for me, it was all a shock. A lovely cook then came over and cooked us an amazing 3 course meal. After the meal we took a walk around our house and Danny had secretly propped his camera up to record the whole moment when got down on one knee and proposed to me! It was a complete surprise and such a wonderful private moment… I couldn’t stop crying! My ring was so beautiful and it fit perfectly. It was literally everything I’ve wanted but it just looked so stunning on my finger! I couldn’t believe he had designed it and handpicked the diamonds all by himself, and that he had done this all in secret, including asking for my parents blessing! 

Iceland was like a fairy tale, he had planned every small detail of the trip, from our private day excursions with a fantastic company in Iceland to each dinner reservation. We were staying opposite the volcano that erupted in 2010 and we took a trip in a 4 by 4 up to the top to see the glacial crater. We saw the gorgeous waterfalls and walked between two tectonic plates. We even caught a glimpse of the northern lights and saw some shooting stars. It was all breath taking! And now I have my beautiful ring to look at every day with the biggest smile on my face.
